Peterborough had wanted to sign Frecklington before his new deal |
Lincoln City assistant manager Iffy Onuora has revealed that more of the club's young players could be given a chance in the first team. City fielded three players who have come through the Imps' youth set-up in last Saturday's 1-0 win over Wycombe.
Lenell John-Lewis and Danny Hone, who have become regulars, have been joined in recent weeks by Shane Clarke.
Onuora told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "A lot of good things have been done for those lads to come through."
Injured Lee Frecklington, another product of the youth set-up, recently signed a new extended deal at Sincil Bank.
Since Peter Jackson took over as manager in 2007 seven players have come through the youth team to play for the senior side.
In the past few years Lincoln have also sold youngsters Scott Loach to Watford and Jack Hobbs to Liverpool.
