Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling has hinted that he may keep midfielder JJ Melligan at the club.
The 26-year-old former Cheltenham player was put on the transfer list back in May but he has the chance to fight for a first-team spot.
"I feel JJ has come back in, he has got his bit between the teeth and he looks like the player that I signed last summer," Ling told BBC London 94.9.
"The test will be the start of the new season," Ling added.
Melligan joined Orient last summer from Cheltenham on a free transfer after turning down the offer of a new deal with the Robins.
