Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling says the team must achieve more back-to-back wins if they are to be promoted.
The O's won 1-0 at Millwall on Saturday to record consecutive wins for the first time since September.
Ling told BBC London: "To do it at Swindon and Millwall gives a good springboard to attack from.
"We did say if we are to get back in the play-off race we are going to have to do that a few times during the last nine games."
Orient are eighth in League One and level on points with sixth placed Walsall, who have a game in hand. Carlisle are the visitors to Brisbane Road on Saturday.
