Leyton Orient have sacked manager Paul Brush, report BBC London. The Brisbane Road outfit have struggled this season, and endured a disappointing campaign last time around.
Supporters have been calling for Brush to be put out of his misery and chairman Barry Hearn finally acted on Saturday after a 3-0 defeat at Huddersfield.
Hearn told BBC London: "Unfortunately results have not been good enough and Paul has accepted that.
"He has been completely dedicated and professional in his approach to the job and we are sorry that things have not worked out.
"I spoke to him after the defeat at Huddersfield and we have agreed to part company. It's a shame but it's a decision that has been made with Leyton Orient's best interests in mind."
Assistant manager Martin Ling will take over first team affairs on a caretaker basis until a full-time replacement is appointed.
