Kirkland has won one England cap

Chris Kirkland could make his Leicester City debut on Saturday after resuming his loan spell from Wigan Athletic.

The goalkeeper joined the Foxes last month but was forced to return to the Latics for treatment on a back injury.

However he is back training with Leicester and will be assessed before the game at Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Manager Sven-Goran Eriksson told BBC Radio Leicester: "We have to wait and see and only on Thursday and Friday can we take a decision."

The Swede added: "It is impossible to know at the moment if he will be ready for Saturday."
