Leicester City have signed Benfica defender Miguel Vitor on a season-long loan deal.
The 21-year-old Portugal Under-21 international becomes new manager Paulo Sousa's first signing since arriving at the Walkers Stadium.
"Miguel is a young player that has a good background, and already he has plenty of experience," Sousa told the club's website.
"He was the captain of Benfica at youth level and has good leadership skills."
Vitor added: "This is a big opportunity for me. I hope to play many games and help Leicester into the Premier League.
"I know that I will have to compete for my place but I hope to show everyone what I can do."
