Leeds United expect to know the extent of the injury to Robert Snodgrass by the end of the week.
The winger was stretchered off in Tuesday's 3-1 win at SK Brann in Norway and left the ground on crutches.
Manager Simon Grayson told the club's website: "At first it looked serious, but we'll know more over the next few days now we're back in England.
"It was a poor, poor challenge and you don't want to see players being carried off in pre-season friendlies."
