He signed a new four-year contract with the League One club at the beginning of this season.
He scored 11 goals in his debut season at Leeds, and has already got three in the current campaign.
He was substituted in Tuesday's draw with Carlisle but is confident of being back for Saturday's top of the table clash at home to Charlton.
"I came off as a precaution on Tuesday, and I'm now looking forward to the Charlton game.
"There should be a good crowd and it's a great opportunity for us to get a win against one of our main rivals."
With Patrick Kisnorbo called up for Australia for their games against Holland and Oman, and Lubo Michalik in the provisional Slovakia squad for their 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Poland, it means Leeds' trip to Bristol Rovers on 10 October has been postponed.

Manager Simon Grayson, however, says the call-ups are just rewards for his players.
"Already this season we've had Paddy and [Angola's] Rui Marques on international duty, and now we've got two more," he said.
"I'd like to congratulate both Lubo and Snoddy on their call-ups. I'm delighted for both players because it shows they are being recognised for their efforts here.
"It comes with the territory that when you have players performing they can get called up, and it's a good testament to everyone concerned."
