Leeds United have opened talks over a new contract with midfielder Bradley Johnson, BBC Radio Leeds understands.
The 22-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal at Elland Road.
But Leeds are keen to reward Johnson for his impressive form, which has seen him score seven goals this season to help the club top League One.
The left-sided player was brought to the club two years ago from Northampton Town by former boss Gary McAllister and has made 70 appearances.
