New signing Shane Higgs will go head-to-head with Casper Ankergren to become Leeds United's first choice goalkeeper.
Higgs, who has spent most of his career at Cheltenham Town, will make his debut for Leeds during pre-season.
Manager Simon Grayson insists the 32-year-old will not just make up the numbers: "He's a good character. I spoke to four or five people about him.
"They all said he will be a fantastic goalkeeper when he gets an opportunity."

"And that's how it is, with him, Casper and Alan Martin who will all be fighting for the number one jersey come August 8," added Grayson.
Leeds United begin their pre-season fixtures at York City on 12 July, away at Kit Kat Crescent (KO:1300 BST), before starting a tour of Ireland.
