Leeds United will offer Republic of Ireland midfielder Jonathan Douglas a new deal, BBC Radio Leeds understands.

The 27-year-old, who has been a right-back since the arrival of manager Simon Grayson in December, is one of three players out of contract this summer.

It it believed goalkeeper David Lucas, who joined the club in 2007, is unlikely to be offered a new deal.

The League One club have still to discuss the future of right-back and club captain Fraser Richardson.

Meanwhile striker Jermaine Beckford is to receive the Football League's Golden Boot for League One.

Beckford finished top scorer in the division with 34 goals and was the first Leeds striker to pass the 30-mark since Lee Chapman in the 1990/91 season.

Midfielder Fabian Delph has been named in the provisional 40 man squad for the European under-21 Championships.

The squad will be whittled down to 23 in June for the tournament in Sweden.
