Leeds consider recalling players

A worrying run of form could prompt Leeds United manager Gary McAllister to recall some of his loan players.

Leeds have slipped to seventh in the League One table after Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Tranmere.

And McAllister told BBC Radio Leeds: "They can all be brought back from their loans.

"Tresor Kandol's ends in January so the way the results are it may be time to pull everybody back to Elland Road - it's all hands to the pump."

Leeds are without leading scorer Jermaine Beckford for around a month with a hamstring injury, and that could see Kandol recalled from his loan at Millwall.

The striker, who has been at The New Den since the beginning of the season, has scored eight goals in 15 appearances.

With Andy Robinson also out of action for a month, McAllister could also be tempted to bring Bradley Johnson back from his loan at Brighton.

Goalkeeper Alan Martin (Barrow) and midfielder Ian Westlake (Cheltenham Town) are also currently away from Elland Road.
