Derry has fallen out of favour at Leeds

The former Crystal Place player, 29, has been out since January with an Achilles injury and at present does not feature in Wise's long-term plans.

Wise said: "He isn't going to play at the present moment here.

"He needs to go out on loan when he's fit, get fit, come back and we'll take it from there really."

Derry who has made 78 appearances for United since arriving in February 2005 has one year left on his contract.

Meanwhile, striker Tresor Kandol has indicated to Wise that he wants to sign the revised offer made to him by the club.
