Derry has fallen out of favour at Leeds |
Leeds United manager Dennis Wise says midfielder Shaun Derry needs to go out on loan in order to regain his place at Elland Road, reports BBC Radio Leeds. The former Crystal Place player, 29, has been out since January with an Achilles injury and at present does not feature in Wise's long-term plans.
Wise said: "He isn't going to play at the present moment here.
"He needs to go out on loan when he's fit, get fit, come back and we'll take it from there really."
Derry who has made 78 appearances for United since arriving in February 2005 has one year left on his contract.
