Kyle is weighing up his options about where to play next season
Kevin Kyle has discussed a possible move to Aberdeen with Pittodrie manager Mark McGhee when his Kilmarnock contract expires later this month.
"He's already said that he likes me, he likes my style of play and he thinks I can do a job at Aberdeen for him next season," said Kyle, 28.
But before any move, Kyle is hoping to save Kilmarnock from relegation.
"Everything else is on the back burner because my main focus is keeping Kilmarnock in the SPL," he said.
The former Sunderland and Coventry striker is free to speak to other clubs as he is out of contract at the end of the season and looks set to leave the Ayrshire club regardless of whether Killie retain their Scottish Premier League status.
And McGhee will have the opportunity to cast his eye over his signing target on Wednesday when the Dons host Kilmarnock, who are above bottom-side Falkirk on goal difference.
While admitting to being flattered by McGhee's interest, Kyle believes there is no extra pressure on him to convince him of his talent when the two teams meet.
The bulk of Aberdeen's away games will be in and around the Glasgow area anyway so the geography isn't a major obstacle. But I want to weigh up all my options

He said: "I don't have to go out and impress him on Wednesday because he's already made his mind up about me. What I've got to do, though, is concentrate on doing a job for Kilmarnock."
A factor for Kyle in choosing where to play next season is that his young son is in Sunderland.
"I read an article a few days ago which said that I wouldn't sign for Aberdeen because it's too far away but that's just not true," said the Killie striker.
"Mark McGhee and I sat down and I asked him what a normal week's training would be. He explained that, depending on midweek matches, I could expect a Wednesday off and a Sunday off after Saturday games.
"If that's the case then I wouldn't need to stay up in Aberdeen all the time.
"I could commute by driving up on Sunday night and come back down again on Tuesday.
"The bulk of Aberdeen's away games will be in and around the Glasgow area anyway so the geography isn't a major obstacle. But I want to weigh up all my options."
Hearts and Hibernian are also possible destinations for Kyle, should he stay in Scotland, while there is reported interest from clubs in England, Cyprus, Greece and Spain.
