Parker has been with Huddersfield since last summer
Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies says it is too early to decide whether Huddersfield's Keigan Parker will be joining up with the Ayrshire club.
The striker has been training with the Scottish Premier League outfit.
"This is our last training session, so it's not easy to judge, but we'll have a look at him," said Jefferies.
"It's not a case of whether you'd like to sign him. He's still under contract to Huddersfield and I don't know what the situation is there."
The 26-year-old Parker spent six seasons with St Johnstone before a similar spell at Blackpool.
He joined Huddersfield last year but was most recently loaned out to League One rivals Hartlepool United after having been kept out the side by Dundee United target Danny Cadamarteri.
"I don't know whether they'll let him go or what the personal terms would be and whether I can afford to bring him in," Jefferies told BBC Scotland.
Allan Russell may miss the start of the season, David Fernandez is a different type of striker, so we need another

"But at least we get to meet the lad and he can get in amongst the players and get a wee feel for the club.
"But it's far far too early to say whether we would be interested or could do something."
Jefferies intends sitting down with chairman Michael Johnston next week to plan for next season, but the manager is hopeful of adding a couple of new faces to his squad.
"We'd want to get a couple of players in, but the budgets have got to be right," he said.
"We have to work with very tight budgets here - as we have done over the past couple of years.
"The chairman's been dealing in the background with the agents of some of our players who are out of contract trying to get them signed up. But they may want to move on, so there's a lot to consider."
The striking department, despite the success of Kevin Kyle since joining in January, is still an area the Killie manager wants to strengthen.
"Allan Russell may miss the start of the season, David Fernandez is a different type of striker, so we need another," said Jefferies.
"But to get one we may have to lose someone from the pool and not necessarily a striker."
Killie go to Fir Park to face Motherwell this weekend for their final match of the season and is set to make a number of changes to protect players from suspension.
A number of players - including Fraser Wright, James Fowler and Garry Hay - if booked this weekend, would miss the start of the new season, so Jefferies is taking no chances.
Goalkeeper Alan Combe will also be left out. He will see a specialist next week to determine whether he needs an operation for a hernia problem.
Damien Rascle should deputise, while midfielder Iain Flannigan will also start.
"We'll give some of the younger and fringe players a chance," added Jefferies.
