Kidderminster Harriers boss denies link to Walsall job
Burr is about to complete his first year in charge at Aggborough
Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr says he has not been contacted about the vacant Walsall job.
The League One side sacked former boss Chris Hutchings and assistant manager Martin O'Connor on 4 January.
Since then the Blue Square Bet Premier manager, who has lifted Harriers to sixth in the table, has been linked with the Saddlers job in the press.
"The speculation is quite flattering," Burr told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "It means you are doing a decent job."
The former Stalybridge Celtic, Northwich and Nuneaton boss added: "I can't do anything about that, but if we were bottom of the league nobody would be talking about me.
"I am more than happy here with what is going on, there are still problems off the field and it would be nice if we could put that to bed.
"Everyone in and around us is strengthening their sides and I would love to do that here.
"With two or three new players, with what we have got here, we could really push into a play of sport.
"That's the product out there on the pitch, and I feel we have done terrific here.
"But I feel these lads could do with a lift by bringing a couple of players in."
