Poppies boss Marcus Law happy with progress of squad

Kettering Town boss Marcus Law says his team have put their off-field troubles behind them.

The Poppies are unbeaten in five matches in the Blue Square Bet Premier, with three wins.

Law told BBC Radio Northampton: "The boys have been mentally strong with the turmoil we've gone through.

"Romone McCrae and Danny Mills have brought something in and Pat Noubissie is desperate to get back in. It's nice that I've got [selection] headaches."

Mills, on loan from Peterborough, scored on his debut in the 2-1 win over Bath City on Tuesday night.

He is one of five players currently on loan at Rockingham Road, alongside Posh team-mate McCrae, Leicester City's Jorrin John and Luke O'Neill, plus Coventry City's Callum Wilson.

The loan signings have bolstered a Kettering Town squad which lost eight first team players following the club's decision to cut an "unsustainable" wage bill in December.

However, the club's future beyond 2013 is still uncertain. The club are seeking an extension to their lease at Rockingham Road, which is due to expire in two years' time.
