Kettering Town manager Mark Cooper hailed a "brilliant" point as his side held Blue Square Premier leaders Burton Albion to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.
The Poppies are three points away from the play-off places with eight matches remaining, thanks to Gareth Seddon's 20th-minute equaliser.
"You can see from this why we haven't conceded many goals," Cooper told BBC Radio Northampton.
"To get a point here in our quest for the play-offs is brilliant."
"Possession-wise, we got absolutely slaughtered - and you must give credit to Burton, they're a fantastic football team.
"But I'm very pleased with my players. We kept our shape and kept defending, which is what we needed to do."
Kettering now visit another of the teams above them in the table - Torquay United - on Saturday.
