Mark Cooper was angry at Jean-Paul Marna's choice of footwear
Kettering boss Mark Cooper attacked the unprofessionalism of striker Jean-Paul Marna after substituting the striker because he was wearing the wrong boots.
The 27-year-old forward was taken off just 14 minutes into the Poppies' 4-1 victory over Cambridge City in the FA Trophy on Saturday.
Cooper explained: "He said he only had moulded studs and was slipping and sliding all over the place.
"I'm not prepared to put up with that lack of professionalism."
Kettering came back from 1-0 down to earn their place in the second round next month, thanks to goals from John Dempster, Chris Arthur, Brett Solkhon and Craig Westcarr.
