Cooper's Kettering have only lost twice in the Blue Square Premier this season

Kettering Town manager Mark Cooper is putting his side's excellent start to the season down to their "tremendous team spirit."

The Poppies were promoted into the Blue Square Premier in the summer and now find themselves second in the table.

"The most important thing we've got is a tremendous team spirit and a desire to win," Cooper told BBC Northampton.

"If you've got that, that beats any kind of ability. The team that's the most consistent will stay up there."

"Crawley are doing it, we're managing to squeeze results and let's keep going and see where it takes us, you never know."
