Marton Fulop hails Ipswich Town clean sheet

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Marton Fulop has praised the organisation of the Blues defence after they secured a first clean sheet since mid-September.

Saturday's 2-0 win over Millwall saw them end a run of three league defeats.

Fulop told BBC Radio Suffolk: "The determination of the lads was fantastic and they helped me out.

"The defence is organised very well and we looked really solid. When I wasn't there they helped me out and there is a good understanding in the back four."

The 27-year-old added: "In the last three games we conceded early goals which makes it hard to come back from behind, but it was nice to get the first goal finally."

The former Sunderland and Leicester keeper said he was pleased with his own performance.

"I don't think I had many saves to make but I was comfortable coming for crosses and I was happy with my kicking," he said.

Hungarian Fulop also feels Ipswich fans are beginning to see the best of his compatriot Tamas Priskin, who scored the crucial third goal in Town's midweek Carling Cup win over Northampton, a victory which set up a home quarter-final tie with West Brom.

Fulop added: "I always said he needed some confidence and against Northampton he played really well.

"He was outstanding [against Millwall] and contributed to both goals.

"I think Tamas is finding his feet now and he just needs a good run in the team and he will score goals."
