Ipswich Town insist the club is fully behind Roy Keane
Simon Clegg says Ipswich Town remain "fully behind" Roy Keane
Ipswich Town have described recent speculation surrounding manager Roy Keane as "complete rubbish".
Chief executive Simon Clegg told the club's official website it will be 'business as usual' at Portman Road this Saturday.
"We remain fully behind the manager and he will be in charge as usual against Reading," added Clegg.
But as the statement does not go beyond the Reading game, the media frenzy is likely to continue.
Clegg has also dismissed reports of a rift between Roy Keane and Ipswich Town owner Marcus Evans.
"Some of the stories I have seen over the weekend are complete rubbish, like talk of Roy and Marcus falling out and not talking to each other."
Ipswich have struggled for form this season. The Tractor Boys are 13 points shy of the final play-off place, and just nine clear of the relegation zone.
"Obviously we are disappointed with the season we have had so far and no one is more disappointed than Roy," said Clegg.
"Clearly results have to improve, but everyone at Ipswich Town is fully focussed on achieving that."
