Ipswich Town may be without David Norris for the rest of the year following an injury sustained during Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Coventry.
The midfielder, 28, limped off early in the second half and scans have revealed potential knee ligament damage which could require surgery.
Norris, who joined Ipswich from Plymouth in January 2008, is due to see a specialist later this week.
The injury may force manager Roy Keane to begin the search for a replacement.
