Meanwhile the Ipswich boss had praise for defender/midfielder Ivan Campo, who scored his first goal since joining the club in the summer.
"I brought him in because I knew there may be a few jitters and he has great composure," Magilton said.
"He's played in a few derbies in his time, after playing [for Real Madrid] in the Bernabeu I felt he could take anything that might have been thrown at him."
But Magilton would not say whether the 34-year-old would keep his place for Saturday's game at Charlton.
"I think he's going to be fine, I think the more games we can get in to him the better, but we'll obviously assess everybody on Friday."
