Ipswich striker Pablo Counago has scored four goals this season
A Pablo Counago double saved Ipswich Town from a rare home defeat by Championship new boys Swansea City.
The Spanish striker drilled home Ivan Campo's cut-back just before half-time from close range at Portman Road.
Midfielder Ferrie Bodde levelled three minutes after half-time as he slotted home his fifth of season from 12 yards.
Jordi Gomez's stunning left-foot drive from the edge of the area put the Swans ahead before Counago found space in the 82nd minute to earn Ipswich a point.
Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton told BBC Radio Suffolk: "We showed great guts and character to get back into it, it's easy to bury your head in the sand and not come out fighting but I thought the lads that came on and gave us a lift and we got the equaliser.
"We are conceding poor goals and they will undoubtedly hold their hands up when they look at them and say they shouldn't happen.
"It's certainly a disease we want to cut out."
Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez: "It was a hard-earned point but to come to a tough place like Portman Road and play so well, we deserved all three points.
"But if we perform the way we did at Ipswich over the next ten games, I'll be happy - but the goals we conceded were a little soft.
"By our standards, they were both poor and that was a big disappointment.
"Ipswich didn't have to work very hard for either of their goals and we know we're better than that.
"But to perform well and earn a draw at a tough place like Ipswich, just shows you how far we have come as a football club."
