Ipswich's teenage striker Jordan Rhodes has been given his first professional contract by the Portman Road club. The 17-year-old, a second year academy scholar, has signed a two-year contract with the Championship outfit.
He told the club's official website: "This is what I have dreamt about since I was a young boy kicking a ball around to sign as a professional footballer.
"This is what all the hard work has been about to get my chance here but there's a lot of hard work ahead."
He is the son of Ipswich's goalkeeping coach Andy Rhodes.
