Inverness have taken Stoke City striker Adam Rooney on their pre-season tour to Denmark as he begins a week-long trial.

The Republic of Ireland under-21 forward most recently had a loan spell at Bury, where he scored three times in 16 games.

Rooney has made two youth international appearances and became Stoke's youngest ever hat-trick scorer in only his second match, during season 2005-06.

Inverness are also trying to sign Hearts striker Calum Elliot on loan.
