Esson has moved back to the SPL to sign for Inverness

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have signed the former Aberdeen goalkeeper Ryan Esson on a two-year deal.

The 28-year-old spent a spell at Hereford United last season and made one appearance for the club in the final game of the campaign.

Esson, who endured an injury-plagued two years with Shrewsbury Town, made 89 appearances for Aberdeen.

He moved to Gay Meadow in 2006 after ending a 10-year stay with the Scottish Premier League club.
