Inverness trio Dennis Wyness, Barry Wilson and Markus Paatelainen have been told they have five games to earn new deals at Caledonian Stadium.
They are out of contract in the summer with the Scottish Premier League club.
Manager Craig Brewster said: "We are waiting towards the end of the season before we make judgement, so there is still a lot to play for.
"I have got a good squad and they'll get their chance to impress before the end of the season."
Wyness moved to Inverness from Hearts in 2006, but the last of the striker's seven goals this season came in October.
Midfielder Paatelainen, who joined from Cowdenbeath in January 2007, has played just nine times this term.
Veteran winger Wilson is back with Caley Thistle after spending a short spell on loan to St Johnstone.
Meanwhile, Inverness defender Phil McGuire will miss the rest of the season after undergoing groin surgery.
The 28-year-old has undergone an operation and will miss their five remaining fixtures.
Brewster said that, having the surgery this week, will mean McGuire will be ready to return for the start of pre-season training.
"Phil had an operation on Monday so he is out for the rest of the season," he said.
"He was requiring surgery and had to get his groin repaired.
"He was taking a lot of anti-inflammatory tablets, so we thought the best time to get it done was now.
"That will make sure he is fit and raring to go for pre-season."
