Charlie Christie praised his side's tenacity as they defeated St Mirren |
Head coach Charlie Christie is still sure he can tempt three key players to prolong their stay at the club. Mark Brown, Darren Dods and Craig Dargo are out of contract at the end of the season, but Christie insists he has heard nothing of any moves.
"There have been no official enquiries although it is early days," he said.
"There are four or five players who I now want to sit down and speak to, but I said all along that I wanted to get these four games out of the way first."
Christie was full of praise for his side's battling qualities after their 2-1 victory over St Mirren.
"I thought that for 65 minutes we bossed the game, scored two excellent goals and then had three great opportunities to get a third goal, but we never got it," said the manager.
"It has been a decent four games of late and barring 15 minutes of madness at Falkirk we have played really well and seven points out of 12 for us is good going.
The question is now whether we can step on from here, but it has been the same 11 or 12 players who have taken part in the last four games and they have been fantastic," he continued
Christie also gave notice of a scouting mission in the lower leagues for Inverness.
"We are taking in three games tomorrow across Scotland with a view to looking at three players in particular and it would be nice if one of them made a real impression," he said.
