Hull City captain Ian Ashbee could be fit for QPR game
Knee surgery prevented Ashbee from playing at all last season
Hull captain Ian Ashbee could face QPR on Saturday after a scan showed that an Achilles injury is not as bad as first feared, reports BBC Radio Humberside.
The 34-year-old was substituted after 32 minutes of last Saturday's 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough at the Riverside.
However, sources within the club confirmed on Monday that the former Cambridge man is not seriously injured.
Ashbee, who joined the Tigers in 2002, has played 11 Championship games this season, scoring one goal.
