Scunthorpe United wins will come - Ian Baraclough

Scunthorpe United manager Ian Baraclough is confident that his side will soon return to winning ways.

Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Coventry, the Iron's fourth successive loss, leaves them 21st in the Championship, above the drop zone on goal difference alone.

Baraclough told BBC Radio Humberside: "I've got good players. They're no different to what we had at the start of the season and got us good results.

"If they carry on working hard, we'll create chances and win games again."

Scunthorpe's last victory was the 1-0 success over local rivals Hull City on 6 November.

Since then they have dropped from 15th in the Championship table to lie level on points with Crystal Palace, who occupy the third relegation place.

"We knew we'd go through stages in the season where we'd have this," added Baraclough. "Before this run we'd won three out of four games and now we've lost four on the trot.

"Scunthorpe United, in this division, are going to have tough times. We know that, but we've just got to work harder at it."
