Dean Windass has officially become Hull City's oldest-ever goalscorer over a month since he put the ball in the net.
The 39-year-old was judged to have got a touch on an effort in the club's 2-2 draw against Portsmouth in November.
The ball also touched Pompey defender Noe Pamarot on its way into the goal and the incident was referred to the Premier League's Dubious Goals Panel.
They have now ruled that Windass can claim the goal as he propelled the ball forward before it touched Paramot.
Windass duly beats a 55-year-old record held by Eddie Burbanks who was just a few weeks younger when he scored his last goal for the Tigers.
