Hull City manager Phil Brown has confirmed he is trying to sign Plymouth Argyle winger Peter Halmosi.

The 28-year-old Hungarian international is under contract at Home Park until the end of the 2009/10 season.

Brown told BBC Radio Humberside the club have enquired about the player: "He's certainly one that we'd be interested in.

"But we've been given a quote by Plymouth that is way and above our estimation of the player."

Media reports have suggested Hull have already made a �2m bid for Halmosi, but Brown would only confirm the club's interest.
