No Burnley approach for Lee Clark, say Huddersfield

Lee Clark
Clark is in his first full season in charge at Town.

Huddersfield Town say they have received no official approach from Burnley to speak to their manager Lee Clark, according to BBC Radio Leeds.

Reports from Lancashire said Clark had been interviewed by the Turf Moor club on Sunday night.

However, the League One club say neither they nor Clark have received any contact from Burnley.

Premier League Burnley are searching for a new manager after Owen Coyle left to join rivals Bolton last week.

Former Newcastle United midfielder Clark left a job as Norwich City's assistant boss to take up his first full managerial position at Huddersfield in December 2008.

In his first full season in charge he has so far guided Town to fifth in League One, 13 points off the automatic promotion places.

Huddersfield have said it is flattering for Clark, as well as some of their players, to be linked with the Premier League and proves the club is moving in the right direction.
