Huddersfield manager Andy Ritchie is still aiming for play-offs (Getty) |
Huddersfield Town manager Andy Ritchie has insisted the League One play-offs are still a realistic target. Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Millwall left the Terriers six points adrift of the top six.
Ritchie told BBC Radio Leeds: "We've got nine games in March which is just a crazy amount.
"We'll try to keep as many clean sheets from now until the end of the season and if we do that we've got a chance of getting in the play-offs."
The victory over the Lions at the Galpharm Stadium came despite fog and freezing conditions, and Ritchie felt Saturday's FA Cup defeat at Chelsea had also taken its toll on the players.

He said: "It was a bit ugly but we managed to get the three points, and after the exploits of the weekend that was what it was all about.
"I think there were a few tired legs from chasing Chelsea players at the weekend, but we managed to pull through in the end.
"They're disappointed because they felt they should have played better. That's a good thing, but we've said if we have to be just ugly and just grind out results to get where we want to be then we'll be happy.".
