Beck was appointed as Histon boss following Alan Lewer's departure
Histon boss John Beck has welcomed the appointment of new Stutes chairman Russell Hands.
Hands was appointed at the Glassworld in July, replacing Tony Roach who resigned in April.
Beck told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It's a fantastic addition, I'm so pleased he's come on board.
"It's certainly something I've been looking forward to and I hope to develop a very good relationship with Russell," he added.
Hands, a Cambridgeshire businessman, has returned to take up the same role which he vacated 20 years ago, taking over from director Angelo Dama who had been in control of the club's day-to-day business following Roach's departure.
And with the behind the scenes structure falling into place, Beck hopes to be able to work with Hands to implement a "Premier League working environment".
Any money that we would receive from Lanre Oyebanjo's compensation wouldn't all go towards trying to get an additional player

He said: "There are a number of things that I will be recommending in the next few weeks.
"I hope I can convince Russell that if we want to maintain our Blue Square Bet Premier status, we should take on board my recommendations.
"I honestly believe that the most important thing for any professional football club is to create a Premier League, professional working environment. If we don't develop it, we won't maintain our league status.
"I'm sure Russell's a businessman that understands that you have to create a very good working environment for your players and your employees. I'm sure it will be achieved in some form in the not-too distant future."
Meanwhile, Lanre Oyebanjo's future remains undecided after the full-back was linked with a move away from Cambridgeshire and a spell training with Wycombe in July.
The Stutes would be entitled to a fee should the 20-year-old depart, but Beck admitted that any funds recouped would be put to ensuring the club's short-term survival.
"Any money that we would receive from Lanre's compensation wouldn't all go towards trying to get an additional player or two, it would have to go to help the club to pay some of the debts that we have," said Beck.
"That's part of my remit - try and sell one or two players so we can keep the club running."
