Adam Tann waits on Histon contract until manager named
Tann joined Histon on a free transfer in the summer on 2009
Histon defender Adam Tann is offered a new deal at the Glass World, but will hold back his decision until a new manager is named.
Interviews are currently taking place as the Stutes hunt for a successor to former boss Alan Lewer.
Tann, 28, signed a one-year deal with Histon after leaving Notts County.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I've been offered a new contract, but I want to see how the situation develops as regards the management set-up."
Tann was one of Histon's most consistent performers last season and was named captain following the departure of Matt Langston.
But with the club continuing to make cut-backs and Lewer having left the club, he is set to take his time over a new deal.
"The club fully understand that I need to know what is happening before I can decide what to do," he said.
Lewer had been invited to reapply for his position after his contract came to an end, but declined to make an application. He claims he had agreed a deal whereby if the Stutes were to stay in the Blue Square Premier then his contract would automatically be extended by another year.
I suppose we need a manager who is up for a challenge as considerable budget cuts have been made

With large budget cuts having been made over the past six months, Tann said it will be a big job for whoever is appointed.
"I suppose we need a manager who is up for a challenge as considerable budget cuts have been made," he said.
"He'll need really good contacts as we need players who are up for a fight. It's looking like a really tough task."
