Simpson joined the Stutes from Cambridge City on 1 September
Histon midfielder Josh Simpson says he could not have asked for a better start to his Stutes career following the 1-0 FA Cup win over Swindon.
Simpson has been a virtual ever-present for Steve Fallon's side since arriving from Cambridge City over the summer.
Histon are into the second round of the FA Cup following the Robins win.
The 21-year-old told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I've played 10 games now and we're fourth in the league and into the second round of the FA Cup."
Fallon has chosen to pair Simpson with captain Mat Mitchel-King in central midfield, and the former Ipswich trainee believes they are developing a strong partnership.
"Me and Mat compliment each other quite well, he likes to sit and get on the ball and I like to bomb on," Simpson said.
The Stutes will host either Leeds or Northampton in round two of the Cup and Simpson cannot wait to test himself against Football League opposition once again.
"I'd like to kick on now and score a few goals, my target is 10 so to reach that would be nice," he said.
Meanwhile, Histon have confirmed that the tie will take place at the 3,750 capacity Glass World Stadium whichever side wins the replay.
