Hereford United defender Ryan Green has signed a contract extension, tying him to the League Two club until June 2012.

The 30-year-old is in his second spell at Edgar Street, having left in 2006 to join Bristol Rovers before returning three years later.

The ex-Wolves youngster, whose current deal was due to expire in June, has won two international caps for Wales.

Green, who also had spells at Torquay, Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday, has made 25 appearances this season.

He helped earn the Bulls promotion back to the Football League by scoring the winning goal in extra time in the Conference play-off final against Halifax in May 2006.

Green, who extended his contract until the end of the 2010/11 season last summer, has made more than 150 appearances for the Bulls, having first joined from Sheffield Wednesday in 2003.
