Large Bulls army bound for Shrews
Oteley Road
Oteley Road is ready for a Bulls invasion
Hereford United will be roared on by the largest away following to set foot at Shrewsbury Town's new ground for Saturday's first visit to Oteley Road.

The Bulls have sold almost all of their 1,700 allocation of tickets - almost double the previous largest section of away fans, set by Bradford City.

"It's the first game at the new stadium with large visiting support," said managing director Rob Bickerton.

Town's record gate at their new home currently stands at 7,707.

That was set for the Christmas league game against Stockport County, although the ground record was set for an England-Spain women's international the previous month, when 8,753 turned up.

That is not expected to be broken on Saturday. But, with the Bulls, managed by one of the old Gay Meadow's most famous sons Graham Turner, going so strongly for promotion, and the fixture for once not affected by a change of kick-off time, it could be quite an occasion.

"Having spoken to people at the club I can feel how exciting the local derby with Hereford is," said Bickerton.
