MacDonald opened the scoring after only eight minutes when he latched onto a head-on from Clint Easton to head past Michael Jordan from close range.

Hooper doubled the advantage when he latched on to a free-kick to beat Jordan with a shot into the corner of the net on the stroke of half-time.
