Turner is eager to set up a Fourth Round tie against Cardiff |
Hereford United manager Graham Turner is upbeat ahead of his side's FA Cup third round replay against Tranmere Rovers at Edgar Street. Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester he is certain there is more to come from his players when the sides meet on Wednesday 16 January:
"We've got to get past Tranmere, but having looked at them, I'm not sure how much better they can play.
"I certainly think that we can play better than we did at Prenton Park."

United were twice in the lead in the first meeting, courtesy of goals from Ben Smith and Trevor Benjamin, but the League One club hit back to earn a 2-2 draw and their second chance at Edgar Street.
Graham Turner admitted to being disappointed that his players had not got the job done at the first time of asking:
"Having taken the lead twice we've got to be disappointed that we didn't go on and win it, particularly as there was such a short time to go at the end of the game.

"We committed our own mistakes to lead to their second equaliser.
"We should have just played the ball long and got out of our own half, defended higher up the pitch, but we gave it away just outside our own box and we paid a heavy penalty for it."
With a recent 3-1 home win over Shrewsbury Town and a live match on television to come, Turner says it is a good time to be around Edgar Street:

"It was nice to be involved in the draw for the fourth round.
"We're in the midst of some good games at the moment - a local derby with Shrewsbury, then Tranmere and then we're live on television [against Chesterfield], so the place is buzzing at them moment."
The reward for a replay victory would be another home game for the Bulls, and the renewing of acquaintances with Cardiff City:
"There's a lot of local interest in it; we have a chance to renew old rivalries from years ago, while we've obviously got the connection with Paul Parry being there.
"On paper, it's a good game; it's obviously not the big attractive one that we would have liked, but it's a home tie."
