David Witteveen signed after impressing on Hearts' pre-season tour
Hearts have completed the signing of Austrian striker David Witteveen.
The 24-year-old impressed on trial with the Edinburgh club during their recent pre-season trip to Germany.
The former Red Bull Salzburg forward spent last season on loan with St Andra and Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo said he would be an important addition.
"I am pleased we have signed him. He has a good body; he is strong and he has a good shot. But he has a bit to learn," Laszlo told the club website.
Witteveen is Hearts' fifth summer signing after defenders Dawid Kucharski, Ismael Bouzid, midfielder Ian Black and Spanish winger Suso Santana all moved to Tynecastle.
Meanwhile, striker David Templeton is facing 10 weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his broken foot.
The 20-year-old was forced to miss Hearts' trip to Germany after damaging his metatarsal in training.
