A player at Belarus club MTZ Ripo, who are sponsored by Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov, claims some staff have not been paid for six months.
Vyacheslav Hleb is reported on the Mtz-ripo.com fan website as saying the club's financial problems were "awful."
"Some guys have families and they are not given their pay," said Hleb.
Meanwhile, a Hearts official confirmed that their players have been paid this week, the club having failed to pay playing staff on time a fortnight ago.
Hearts have made late payments on two separate occasions this season, blaming a "technical hitch" for the delay to payments that should have gone through last Friday.
The Scottish Premier League club's players receive weekly payments from parent company Ukio Bankas Investment Group, which is owned by Romanov.
Belarusian outfit MTZ Ripo receive the majority of their income from sponsorship via companies owned by Romanov.
"What could be said about the medical personnel and people who are working for the team?" said the brother of Barcelona and former Arsenal midfielder Aliaksandr Hleb.
"They haven't seen money for half a year."
Ripo are currently third in the Belarusian Premier League, behind leaders BATE and Dinamo Minsk.
