Csaba Laszlo was keen to bolster the goalkeeing positions at Tynecastle
Hearts have signed another goalkeeper after securing Janos Balogh on loan from Hungarian club Debrecen.
The 25-year-old is expected to travel to Scotland on Saturday and will vie with new signing Marian Kello and Jamie MacDonald for the number one jersey.
Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo earlier signed Arturas Ramoska as the club's new goalkeeping coach.
"We've been very keen to bring Janos to the club. He will provide valuable competition," said Laszlo.
Ramoska was appointed amid controversy over the demotion of keeper Steve Banks, who was sidelined to youth team duties by Laszlo.
Meanwhile, Slovakian Kello says he is looking forward to getting Hearts back on to the European stage under the guidance of Laszlo and Ramoska.
The former Kaunas keeper featured in the recent victory over Rangers in the Champions League second qualifying round and became Hearts' third signing of the summer.
"I was thinking that, if I played well against Rangers, I would have a chance to come here," said Kello.
"This is a big opportunity for me and of course we want to get back into Europe.
"We have to be looking at the Uefa Cup and, of course, there is the Champions League as well."
