Aberdeen have taken defender Alan Maybury on loan from Leicester City until the end of the season. The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international had been training with former club Hearts after falling out of favour at the Walkers Stadium.
Maybury joined Leicester from Hearts in 2005 but has only made three appearances for the Foxes this season.
Aberdeen striker Stuart Smith and defender Neil McVitie have joined Peterhead on loan in Division Two.
Peterhead also released 26-year-old defender Steve McKay, who has joined Elgin City, and midfielder Jamie Buchan, the 30-year-old having been at the club since 2004.
Meanwhile, Dons forward Michael Paton has had his loan with Brechin City extended until the end of the season.
