Hearts admitted their disciplinary record was poor |
Hearts have been fined a record 20,000 by the Scottish FA for their poor disciplinary record last season. Tynecastle players were issued with nine red cards and 92 cautions last season and the club was further warned over its players' behaviour in January.
A spokesperson for Hearts said: "We knew ourselves that our on-field disciplinary record was unacceptable."
Dunfermline, Hibernian and Falkirk were also handed minimum fines of 5,000 for their on-field indiscipline.
A Hearts spokesperson said: "During the close season, we took steps to remedy the matter.
