Vladimir Romanov must pay the fine within 30 days |
Hearts majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov has lost his appeal against a 10,000 fine imposed by the Scottish Football Association. Romanov had suggested on the Scottish Premier League club's website last September that referees were biased against the Edinburgh side.
His appeal was dismissed by an Independent Appeals Board. Romanov has 30 days to pay the fine.
Hearts paid a similar fine last month over Romanov's claims about referees.
That fine was given to the club in October after Romanov claimed that Hearts won the Scottish Cup "despite all the efforts and intrigues of referees".
The SFA closed a loophole that had allowed those without an official club post to make outspoken views.
It ruled that those holding authority at a club - or had control of the club board - fell within its jurisdiction.
