Hartley unhappy with Hearts form
Paul Hartley clashes with Nacho Novo during the defeat by Rangers
Hartley was unable to lead Hearts to victory
Hearts midfielder Paul Hartley said the side were "coming up short" after the Tynecastle outfit lost 1-0 to Rangers.

"Compared to last season, where we had a mostly settled team, this season it has not helped us with different changes every week," he said.

"You need a settled team if you want to progress."

"We have had a lot of turmoil since I have been at the club. We thought things had settled down but, maybe, it is just starting up again."

Hartley wore the captain's armband on Sunday as Steven Pressley was on the bench.

"I am disappointed for Steven. He is our captain and a great leader," the midfielder added.

"At the end of the day, it is not my decision but I would like to see him play.

"I want to see the best team on the pitch, but it is not to be."
